Stay Safe and Healthy!

During this time of uncertainty, I hope everyone is taking care of themselves. Because large gatherings are more or less prohibited, many weddings are forced to be pushed back to a later date. It is heartbreaking for the couple hoping to share their happy day with friends and family, but with the dangers posed by flying, it is not a risk worth taking at this time.

I am actively monitoring the updates and advice given by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Make sure you stay healthy and keep others safe by following these pieces of advice

Frequently wash your hands

Use soap and water and thoroughly clean your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds to kill viruses and germs that may be lingering. If you do not have soap and water handy, use alcohol-based hand sanitizers. If they are not alcohol-based, they will not kill the germs.

Practice social distancing

Keep at least three feet (some sources suggest six) between yourself and others. This is to ensure that if someone coughs or sneezes that you do not inhale any droplets that could contain the virus.

Avoid touching your face

Our hands touch an abundance of surfaces that could pick up the virus. Your hands could then transfer the virus to your eyes, nose, and mouth upon touching, which will then cause it to enter your system and could make you sick.

Practice respiratory hygiene

This involves covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or your inner elbow when you cough or sneeze. Instruct others to follow this, and keep both yourself, and others, safe from viruses such as the cold, flu, and coronavirus.

If you have cough, fever, and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention early

Stay at home if you feel unwell, but if you have these symptoms together, seek medical attention as soon as possible. The national and local medical authorities will have the most up-to-date information on the situation, and calling in advance will help keep others protected.

So stay healthy, stay safe, and stay in good spirits! This will all be over soon.
