While in most areas an outdoor, summer wedding is a lovely ceremony celebrating the season and love, this isn’t exactly the case in South Florida. The head and humidity make outdoor, summer receptions a nightmare for guests and the bridal party alike (not to mention, the officiant). It’s Florida’s more mild fall weather that makes for a great time for outdoor weddings. Here are a few great outdoor wedding ideas you should consider when planning your ceremony and reception.
Use the Scenery as Decor
The appeal of an outdoor wedding is the scenery, in my opinion. Having your backdrop be a lovely beach, a woodsy area, or a beautiful villa adds wonders to your wedding day. With such a great view, you don’t need a lot of decor to spruce up the scene, saving everyone hassle.
Open-Air Tents
Open-air tents really add something special to a reception. They still allow a wonderful view of your outdoor scene, but also provide your guests with more room to move around, as if they step outside, they won’t miss a thing. If it’s a little too warm, fans can be utilized, and the tent proves to be a great place to celebrate into the night.
Whatever you decide to do, make sure that you have people by your side that you love and trust. The food should be what you want, the venue should be what you want, and your officiant should be one that makes you comfortable and accommodates to your needs.
